You Were Made for Power, Not Fear!
Do you ever feel scared – maybe about school, the dark, or something new? Here’s an amazing secret: God did NOT give you a spirit of fear. He gave you something way better – power, love, and self-control! This mission explores 2 Timothy 1:7.
What Does 2 Timothy 1:7 Mean?
Paul wrote these words to his young friend Timothy, who was a little shy and sometimes felt nervous about leading. God reminded Timothy – and reminds us – that fear is not from Him. The spirit God gives us has three superpowers: power to do hard things, love to care for others, and self-control to make wise choices. When you trust God, you don’t have to let fear be in charge.

Think of one thing you’ve been afraid to do – maybe talking to someone new, trying something hard, or speaking up for what’s right. Ask God to fill you with His power and love, then take one brave step toward it this week. Write down how it went!
Did You Know?
Timothy was probably a teenager or young adult when Paul wrote him these letters. He led an entire church even though he was young and sometimes felt unsure of himself. God used Timothy in a mighty way – and He can use you too, no matter how young you are or how nervous you feel!
