God's Personal Restoration Workshop for You!
Welcome, Faith Force Restoration Projects! Today, we’re discovering how God personally takes our damaged areas and makes them better than ever, as shared in 1 Peter 5:10.
Verse Of The Day:
"And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore, establish, strengthen and settle you." (1 Peter 5:10)
Have you ever watched someone restore an old, broken piece of furniture into something beautiful? That’s exactly what God does with our hearts after difficult times!
Peter promises that “after you have suffered a little while” – notice it’s just “a little while,” not forever! – something amazing happens. “The God of all grace will himself restore, establish, strengthen and settle you.” Did you catch that word “himself”? God doesn’t send someone else to fix us; He personally does the restoration work!
Look at God’s four-step restoration process: He will “restore” (repair what was broken), “establish” (make you stable and secure), “strengthen” (make you stronger than before), and “settle” (give you firm foundation). When God finishes His restoration work on you, you’re not just back to where you started – you’re better, stronger, and more beautiful than ever! God is the ultimate restoration expert!
God's Restoration Workshop Board:
Find a piece of old, rough wood (or use sandpaper to rough up a smooth board). This represents you “after suffering a little while.” Now become God’s restoration workshop! Sand the wood smooth (God restores), paint or stain one section to make it stable (God establishes), add strong backing or support (God strengthens), and mount it securely to represent being settled. Write “God Himself Restored Me!” on your finished board. Every time you see it, remember that God personally does restoration work to make you better than ever!
Time For A Prayer:
Dear God of all grace, thank You that after we suffer for a little while, You personally restore us! We're amazed that You Yourself will restore, establish, strengthen, and settle us. When we go through hard times, help us remember that You're working like a master craftsman to make us better than ever. Thank You for Your personal restoration work in our lives! Amen.
