Always Be Ready to Share Your Hope!
Has anyone ever asked you why you believe what you believe? Peter wrote a powerful piece of advice for exactly that moment – and it’s something every hero needs to be ready for! Let’s prepare for this mission together! This mission explores 1 Peter 3:15.
What Does 1 Peter 3:15 Mean?
Peter said we should keep Jesus as Lord – the most important person – in our hearts. Then, when someone asks about the hope we have, we should be ready to explain it! But notice how Peter says to do it: with “gentleness and respect.” That means sharing your faith isn’t about winning an argument or showing off how much you know. It’s about lovingly telling someone why Jesus gives you hope.
Hero Challenge
Practice telling your faith story in two or three sentences – why do you believe in God, and what difference does it make in your life? Try saying it out loud to a mirror or to a trusted adult. Being prepared means you won’t be caught off guard when someone asks!
Did You Know?
Peter wrote this letter to believers who were being treated badly because of their faith. Even in the middle of hard times, he told them to be ready to explain their hope – not with anger, but with kindness! This kind of calm, respectful boldness often makes a much bigger impact than loud arguments ever could.

If a friend asked you “Why do you believe in God?” what would you say? Practice your answer out loud!
Ages 10-13: Champion Question
Peter says to share your faith with “gentleness and respect.” Why is HOW you share your beliefs sometimes just as important as WHAT you say?

Lord, fill my heart with so much hope that people notice and want to know why! Give me gentle, respectful words to share the reason for that hope whenever I get the chance. Amen.
