"Get rid of the old yeast that you may be a new unleavened batch—as you really are. For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed." (1 Corinthians 5:7)

In 1 Corinthians 5:7, Paul uses the imagery of yeast and bread to teach about purity and renewal in our spiritual lives. Just as yeast permeates through dough, our old habits and sins can affect our entire being. Dear Lord, thank You for the cleansing power of Your sacrifice. Help us to remove the old yeast from our lives, that we may be a new creation in You, pure and devoted to Your service. Guide us in living lives that honor You, free from the burden of past sins. Amen.
