Mission Briefing
Stand Firm, Hero!
Have you ever felt like giving up when something got really hard? God’s Word has a battle cry just for you – a call to stand strong, stay alert, and never back down from what is true and good!
What Does This Mean?
Paul wrote this like a coach giving a team a final pep talk before the big game. “Be watchful” means paying attention – noticing when temptation or trouble is sneaking up on you. “Stand firm in the faith” means not wobbling or giving in just because it’s tough or because others don’t believe. God is calling every hero to be brave and strong – not to be perfect, but to keep holding on!
Hero Challenge
This week, pick one thing that feels hard – maybe being kind to someone who isn’t kind back, or telling the truth when it’s easier to stay quiet. Choose to stand firm in that moment and ask God to make you strong. At the end of each day, write or draw what happened!
Did You Know?
Paul wrote this letter to the church in Corinth, a city full of distractions and people who lived very differently from what God teaches. He wanted the believers there to know that being strong in faith isn’t about muscles – it’s about courage in your heart. This same call goes out to every faith-filled hero today!
Ages 4-6: Little Hero Question
Can you stand really tall and strong right now? What is one brave thing you can do today?
Ages 7-9: Growing Hero Question
What does it mean to “stand firm” in what you believe? Can you think of a time you had to be brave about your faith?
Ages 10-13: Champion Question
Paul says to be watchful – what kinds of things do you think faith-filled kids today need to watch out for, and how can you stay strong when those pressures come?
♥ Mission Prayer
Lord, help me to be watchful and strong today. When things get hard or people around me make it tough to do what's right, remind me to stand firm in You. Thank You for being my strength! Amen.
