Show Notes
Generosity is easy to talk about in the abstract. It gets interesting when what you are being asked to give is the thing you were counting on keeping. That is the moment that shows your child – and you – what is actually inside them.
A snowstorm has taken out the Thompson family’s barn. They have lost more than a structure – they have lost their supplies, their shelter, their footing. Jessie has what they need. He also has plans for it. In under four minutes, your child sits with Jessie in that gap between having and giving – and watches him choose. That is the generosity lesson that lasts.
What your child takes away from this episode:
- Generosity is not about having extra – it is about choosing to give when it actually costs you something
- What it feels like to help a neighbour in a real crisis, not just in theory
- A family generosity challenge: one thing to give this week that is not easy to give
A warm one for cold weather – and a good conversation starter for any time your child is holding on a little too tight to something. Press play.
