Don’t Copy the World – Be Transformed!
Imagine a caterpillar that decided it didn’t want to become a butterfly. It just wanted to stay the same. That would be kind of sad, right? God has something way better planned for you than just blending in with everyone else! This mission explores Romans 12:2.
What Does Romans 12:2 Mean?
“Conformed” means shaped to fit a mold – like when you press clay into a cookie cutter. Paul is saying don’t let the world press you into its shape. Instead, let God transform you – which means changing you from the inside out, starting with how you think. When your mind is filled with God’s truth, you start to see what is truly good, not just what looks popular or cool.

Pick one thing this week that the world says is normal but you know doesn’t line up with what God says is good – like being unkind online or leaving someone out. Choose to do the opposite and write about how it felt to go against the flow.
Did You Know?
The Greek word for “transformed” in this verse is “metamorphoo” – the same root word as “metamorphosis,” the process a caterpillar goes through to become a butterfly! Paul chose that word on purpose to show that God’s transformation is a total, beautiful change – not just fixing a few habits.

Heavenly Father, I don't want to just copy what the world does — I want to be transformed by You. Renew my mind with Your truth so I can know what is truly good. Help me to be brave enough to be different for You. Amen.
