Our Legal Bases for Processing (GDPR)
As Faith Force is operated from Portugal, we process personal data under the following GDPR legal bases:
- Consent — for newsletter subscriptions and non-essential cookies. Withdraw at any time.
- Contract performance — to process purchases and fulfill orders
- Legitimate interests — for analytics and platform security
- Legal obligation — where required by applicable law
Email Marketing — FluentCRM
We manage our email communications using FluentCRM, which runs directly on our own server — your data is not sent to a large third-party email platform.
- If you download a free resource, we use your email only to deliver that download. We will only send marketing emails if you separately opt in.
- You can unsubscribe at any time via the link at the bottom of any email
- Unsubscribing removes you from marketing emails but does not delete your account or purchase records
- We never share your email with third parties for their marketing
Shop & Purchases — FluentCart
Our shop runs on FluentCart. When you purchase, we collect your name, email, and billing details. Payment card data is handled by our secure payment processor — we never store your full card number. Purchase records are retained for order fulfillment, customer support, and legal/accounting purposes.
Community Portal — FluentCommunity
Our community portal at faith-force.com/portal/ is powered by FluentCommunity and runs on our own server. When you register, we collect your name, email, and any profile information you choose to provide. This is used to:
- Provide access to community features and member content
- Personalize your experience
- Send account-related notifications (not marketing, unless you opt in)
You may request account deletion at any time by emailing [email protected].
Contact Forms — FluentForms
Contact and sign-up forms on Faith Force are powered by FluentForms, which runs on our own server. Information submitted through forms is stored within our platform and used only to respond to your inquiry or fulfill your request.
Cookies & Tracking
- Essential cookies — required for the site to function (login sessions, purchases). Cannot be disabled.
- Analytics cookies — set by Google Analytics (GA4) to help us understand how visitors use the site. You can disable these via your browser settings or by opting out at Google's opt-out page.
- Preference cookies — remember your settings and choices.
Non-essential cookies are only set with your consent. Disabling them may affect some site features.
Third-Party Services
- Hosting — our website is hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany). Your data remains within the European Economic Area (EEA). Hetzner may have access to server-level data as part of normal hosting operations.
- Payments — purchases are processed by Stripe and/or PayPal, both PCI DSS-compliant payment processors. They receive your payment details directly - we never see or store your full card number. Both may transfer data outside the EEA under their approved data transfer frameworks. See Stripe's privacy policy and PayPal's privacy policy.
- Analytics — we use Google Analytics 4 to understand traffic patterns. Google may process data outside the EEA under their approved data transfer framework. Data is pseudonymised and we do not enable advertising features. See Google's privacy policy.
- FluentCRM, FluentCart, FluentCommunity, FluentForms — all run on our own server infrastructure in Germany. Your data stays within our platform and the EEA.
We do not share your data with third parties for advertising purposes.
Children Under 13 — We Take This Seriously
We are committed to complying with COPPA and applicable EU/Portuguese laws protecting children's privacy.
- We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent.
- Interactive features (account registration, newsletter, shop) are intended for adults acting on behalf of their children.
- If you believe your child under 13 has submitted personal data without your consent, contact us at [email protected] immediately. We will delete the information promptly.
- We do not use children's data for behavioral advertising or profiling.
How Long We Keep Your Information
- Newsletter subscribers — until you unsubscribe or request deletion
- Purchase records — as long as required by law/accounting obligations (typically 7 years)
- Community portal accounts — while active, or until you request deletion
- Analytics data — retained in aggregated or anonymized form
Your Rights Over Your Information
Under GDPR you have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of your personal data
- Correction — ask us to fix inaccurate or incomplete data
- Deletion — request erasure of your personal data
- Restriction — ask us to limit how we process your data
- Portability — receive your data in a portable format
- Object — object to processing based on legitimate interests, including direct marketing
- Withdraw consent — at any time where processing is consent-based
To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the CNPD (Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados — Portugal's data protection authority) at www.cnpd.pt.
Keeping Your Information Safe
We use secure HTTPS connections, access controls, and reputable service providers to protect your data. No online transmission is 100% secure — but we work hard to protect yours. If you believe your interaction with us has been compromised, contact us immediately at [email protected].
When This Policy Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy as the platform grows or laws change. We will update the Last updated date at the top of this page and notify registered users by email for significant changes. Continued use of Faith Force after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
