Seek First: Trusting God with Everything
Verse Of The Day:
"But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." (Matthew 6:33)
Imagine trying to stack blocks, but you start at the top instead of the bottom—the tower would fall! That’s what life is like when we don’t put God first. Matthew 6:33 reminds us to seek God’s kingdom first, trusting that when we do, He will take care of everything else.
Seeking God first means making Him the most important part of our lives. It means praying, reading the Bible, and trying to live in a way that pleases Him. When we put God at the center of our choices and actions, He promises to provide everything we need.
God loves when we trust Him with all our hearts, knowing that He will guide us and take care of us. Let’s choose to seek God first every day, building a strong foundation of faith and trust in His love!
God First Tower Craft:
Create a “God First Tower” craft at home! Use small paper boxes, wooden blocks, or even drawn squares on paper. On the first block, write “God’s Kingdom” or “Seek First.” On the other blocks, write things God provides, like “Love,” “Joy,” “Food,” or “Clothing.” Stack them up to remind yourself that putting God first is the foundation for everything else. This craft helps kids understand that trusting God first leads to a strong and joyful life.

Dear God, thank You for teaching us to seek You first in everything we do. Help us to trust You and live in a way that pleases You. Teach us to put You first in our thoughts, actions, and choices, knowing that You will take care of all our needs. Amen.
