Seek God Like Your Life Depends On It!
Have you ever searched for something really important – like your phone before school, or your favorite toy – with everything you had? You checked every drawer, every cushion, every pocket! God says that’s exactly how He wants you to seek HIM. And here’s the incredible promise: when you seek Him like that, you will ALWAYS find Him! This mission explores Jeremiah 29:13.
What Does Jeremiah 29:13 Mean?
God is not playing hide-and-seek where He’s trying hard to stay hidden. He wants to be found! But He asks us to seek Him “with all your heart” – not with half our attention while scrolling through videos. A whole-heart search means making God the main thing, not an afterthought. And the promise is crystal clear: if you seek Him wholeheartedly, you WILL find Him. That’s a guarantee from God Himself.
Hero Challenge
Choose one thing this week that normally distracts you from spending time with God (screens, games, social media) and set it aside for 15 minutes each day to seek God instead – through prayer, reading a verse, or journaling. See what happens when you give God your whole heart for those minutes.
Did You Know?
God spoke these words through Jeremiah to people who were living as captives far from their home country of Israel. They probably felt like God was far away and impossible to reach. But God’s message was the opposite – “I am right here, and you can find Me right where you are.” No matter where you are or what you’re going through, God is always findable!

God’s promise is unconditional – seek Him wholeheartedly and you will find Him. Have there been times you felt distant from God? Looking back, how wholehearted was your seeking during those times? What does this verse say about whose responsibility it is to close that gap?

Lord, I want to seek You with my whole heart — not just part of it. Help me to put You first and to clear away the distractions that keep me from finding You. Thank You for the promise that when I truly seek You, I will find You. Amen.
