What Does Daniel 12:3 Mean?

In the book of Daniel, God gave Daniel a vision of the end of time. He described those who lived wisely and led others toward God as shining brilliantly – like stars in the night sky. Wisdom here means choosing God’s way even when it is hard. And “turning many to righteousness” means helping others make better choices and pointing them toward God. When you do those things, you are doing something that lasts forever.

Think of one person you can encourage toward what is good and right this week – maybe a friend who needs a kind word, a sibling you can help make a better choice, or someone who needs to hear something true and hopeful. Be a star that shines in their darkness.

Daniel wrote this prophecy when he was very old – probably in his eighties – after a lifetime of choosing God’s way even when it was dangerous. He had faced the lion’s den, pressure from kings, and years of living far from home. Yet he never stopped shining. His faithfulness is the reason we still read his words thousands of years later!
