Bridge Builders: Reconnecting Through God’s Love
Verse Of The Day:
"All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation." (2 Corinthians 5:18)
Imagine a broken bridge being carefully repaired until it’s strong and complete again. That’s what God did for us! 2 Corinthians 5:18 tells us that God fixed the relationship between Him and us through Jesus. He didn’t want us to be separated from Him, so He sent Jesus to reconnect us with His love.
Reconciliation means bringing people back together. God didn’t just reconcile us to Himself—He gave us the job of helping others find their way to Him, too. This might mean sharing God’s love with someone who feels far away from Him or showing kindness to someone who needs it.
When we live as bridge builders, we help others see how much God loves them and wants to bring them close. Let’s share God’s amazing gift of reconciliation with everyone we meet!
Bridge of Love Craft:
Create a “Bridge of Love” craft at home! Draw or cut out a bridge on paper or cardboard. Write “Reconciled Through Christ” across the top. On one side of the bridge, write “God,” and on the other side, write “Us.” Decorate the bridge with words like “Love,” “Forgiveness,” and “Peace.” Hang it up as a reminder of how Jesus brings us back to God. This craft helps kids understand the importance of reconciliation and how they can share it with others.
Time For A Prayer:
Dear God, thank You for sending Jesus to reconnect us to Your love. Help us to be bridge builders, sharing Your gift of reconciliation with others. Teach us to show kindness, love, and forgiveness every day, so we can reflect Your heart to the world. Amen.
