What Does 2 Corinthians 4:16 Mean?
Paul is talking about two parts of us: our outer self – our bodies and feelings that get tired and worn out – and our inner self – our spirit and heart that are connected to God. Here’s the amazing truth: even when the outside feels exhausted, God is renewing the inside every single day! Like charging a battery overnight, God refreshes your spirit when you stay close to Him.

Every morning this week, before you start your day, spend just two minutes being still and asking God to renew your inner self. You could pray, read one verse, or just sit quietly and remember that God is working in you even when you can’t feel it. Track how it changes your attitude each day.

When Paul wrote this letter, he had been shipwrecked, beaten, thrown in prison, and chased out of cities – all because he wouldn’t stop telling people about Jesus. And he still said he didn’t lose heart! His secret was that he knew his struggles were temporary, but what God was building inside him was eternal.
