Heart Workers: Doing Everything for God
Verse Of The Day:
"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving." (Colossians 3:23-24)
Imagine you’re building the tallest tower of blocks. You’re not just building it to win a game—you’re building it to show how much you care and how hard you can work. That’s what Colossians 3:23-24 teaches us. It reminds us that whatever we do, whether it’s big or small, we should do it with all our hearts for God. When we do our best, it’s like giving a special gift to God.
God wants us to put our hearts into everything we do—whether it’s helping around the house, doing homework, or being kind to friends. When we work with joy and dedication, we’re not just doing it for ourselves or for others; we’re doing it for God. And He promises that when we work with this kind of heart, He will reward us with His blessings.
Working for God means giving our best and doing things with love, even when no one is watching. God sees our efforts, and He is pleased when we serve with joy. Let’s remember that whatever we do, we’re doing it for Him!
Heart of Work Poster:
Create a “Heart of Work” poster at home! Use a large piece of paper and write “Do Everything for God” in the center. Around it, draw or write activities you do with all your heart, like “Helping Others,” “Homework,” “Praying,” or “Being Kind.” Decorate the poster with bright colors and hearts to remind yourself that all your work is for God. This craft helps kids remember to give their best in everything as if they’re serving the Lord.
Time For A Prayer:
Dear God, thank You for teaching us to work with all our hearts as if we are working for You. Help us to do everything with joy and dedication, knowing that You see and love our efforts. Remind us that when we serve others, we are serving You. May we always give our best for Your glory. Amen.
