Four Ingredients for Complete Unity!
Welcome, Faith Force Complete Unity Makers! Today, we’re learning the four ingredients that create complete unity and joy, as shared in Philippians 2:2.
Verse Of The Day:
"Then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind." (Philippians 2:2)
Have you ever made a recipe that needed FOUR exact ingredients to turn out perfect? Paul gives us a four-ingredient recipe for complete unity that makes everyone joyful!
Paul says “make my joy complete by” – and then lists FOUR things that create perfect unity:
Ingredient #1: “Being like-minded” – This means thinking the same way about what really matters. Not that we all think identically about everything, but we agree on the important stuff – loving Jesus, following God, caring about others.
Ingredient #2: “Having the same love” – This means we all love the same things and people! We don’t love Jesus but hate each other. We all share the same kind of love – caring, generous, patient love for God and for each other.
Ingredient #3: “Being one in spirit” – This means having the same attitude and feelings. When one person celebrates, we all celebrate! When one person hurts, we all care! We share one united spirit.
Ingredient #4: “Of one mind” – This means working toward the same purpose and goal. We’re not all going different directions doing our own thing. We’re united with one focus – serving God and loving others!
When all FOUR ingredients are mixed together, the result is “complete joy” – not just Paul’s joy, but everyone’s! Perfect unity creates perfect joy!
My Four Unity Ingredients Checklist:
Draw four boxes and label them: “Like-Minded,” “Same Love,” “One Spirit,” “One Mind.” This week, check yourself – are you showing all four ingredients? Are you thinking like other believers about what matters? Sharing the same love? United in spirit? Working toward the same purpose? When you show all four, put a checkmark! Remember – all four ingredients together make complete joy!
Time For A Prayer:
Dear God, help us create complete unity with all four ingredients! Make us like-minded about what matters, give us the same love for You and others, unite our spirits, and focus our minds on the same purpose. Help us bring complete joy through perfect unity! Amen.
