Welcome, Faith Force Generous Eye Owners! Today, we’re learning how generous people get blessed, as shared in Proverbs 22:9.
Verse Of The Day:
"The generous will themselves be blessed, for they share their food with the poor." (Proverbs 22:9)
Have you ever noticed how some people see needs while others walk right past them? This verse is about having “generous eyes”!
“The generous will themselves be blessed” – people with generous hearts don’t just help others, they actually receive blessings themselves! It’s like a boomerang – the good you send out comes back to bless you. How do generous people show their generosity? “They share their food with the poor.”
This isn’t about giving leftovers or scraps, but genuinely sharing your food with those who have less. In Bible times, food was one of the most basic and important needs. When you have a generous eye, you notice when others are hungry or struggling, and you share what you have. The amazing promise is that generous people don’t end up with less – they end up blessed! God takes care of those who take care of others.
Generous Eye Blessing Tracker:
Make paper binoculars using two toilet paper rolls taped together. Write “Generous Eye” on them. This week, use your binoculars to “spot” needs around you (hungry classmate, lonely neighbor, struggling family member). Log each time you share, then track blessings you receive from being generous!
Time For A Prayer:
Dear God, give us generous eyes that notice when others are in need! Help us share our food and resources with those who have less. Thank You for the promise that generous people will themselves be blessed. Make us people who love to share and help others! Amen.
