Generous Hearts Receive God's Blessing!
Welcome, Faith Force Cheerful Givers! Today, we’re learning about giving generously with the right heart attitude, as shared in Deuteronomy 15:10.
Verse Of The Day:
"Give generously to them and do so without a grudging heart; then because of this the Lord your God will bless you in all your work and in everything you put your hand to." (Deuteronomy 15:10)
Have you ever given something but felt grumpy about it? God cares about both what we give AND how we feel about giving it!
“Give generously” – God wants us to give freely and abundantly, not stingily. But attitude matters too: “do so without a grudging heart” – don’t give while complaining, resenting it, or wishing you didn’t have to. A grudging heart means giving reluctantly with a bad attitude, and God isn’t pleased with that!
Here’s the amazing promise: “then because of this the Lord your God will bless you in all your work and in everything you put your hand to.” When we give generously with cheerful, willing hearts, God blesses our work and everything we do! The blessing isn’t just because we gave, but because we gave with the right heart attitude. Generous, joyful giving opens the door to God’s abundant blessing!
Generous Heart Attitude Meter:
Make a meter using a paper plate with a movable needle (brad fastener and cardboard arrow). Mark sections: “Grudging” (frowning), “Reluctant,” “Willing,” and “Generous & Cheerful” (big smile). Before giving anything this week, set your needle to show your heart attitude. Aim for “Generous & Cheerful” to unlock God’s blessings!
Time For A Prayer:
Dear God, help us give generously without grudging hearts! When we're tempted to give reluctantly or complain about sharing, change our hearts to give cheerfully. Thank You for the promise that generous, joyful giving brings Your blessing on all our work. Make us cheerful, generous givers! Amen.
