We're Just Temporary Residents on God's Land!
Welcome, Faith Force Temporary Tenants! Today, we’re learning who truly owns all land, as shared in Leviticus 25:23-24.
Verse Of The Day:
"The land must not be sold permanently, because the land is mine and you reside in my land as foreigners and strangers. Throughout the land that you hold as a possession, you must provide for the redemption of the land." (Leviticus 25:23-24)
Have you ever thought your family “owns” your house or property? God reveals a truth that changes everything about ownership!
God declares “The land must not be sold permanently, because the land is mine” – no human truly owns land! We might have deeds and titles, but they’re just temporary rental agreements. The ultimate deed always belongs to God. He emphasizes: “you reside in my land as foreigners and strangers.”
This is a profound truth – we’re not permanent landowners but temporary residents living on God’s property! Just like foreigners visiting a country don’t own it, we’re just passing through land that belongs to God. This should make us humble and generous. We can’t be greedy with “our” property when it’s really God’s land we’re temporarily managing. Treat it well and share it wisely – the true Owner is watching!
Temporary Resident Reminder Card:
Create an official-looking card that says “TEMPORARY RESIDENT – Not Owner” at the top. Write “The land belongs to GOD” and “I’m just a foreigner and stranger here.” Keep it in your room to remember you don’t truly own anything – you’re managing God’s property temporarily!
Time For A Prayer:
Dear God, thank You for the reminder that the land belongs to You and we're just foreigners and strangers temporarily residing here! Help us hold possessions loosely, knowing we don't truly own anything. Make us generous temporary residents who manage Your property faithfully. Keep our hearts humble! Amen.
