God's Power Shines Brightest in Your Weak Moments!
Welcome, Faith Force Power in Weakness Discoverers! Today, we’re learning the amazing secret about how God’s power works best when we feel weakest, as shared in 2 Corinthians 12:9-10.
Verse Of The Day:
"But he said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore I will boast gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong." (2 Corinthians 12:9-10)
Have you ever noticed how stars shine brightest against the darkest sky? That’s exactly how God’s power works in our lives!
God told Paul “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” This means God’s power doesn’t just show up when we’re weak – it actually works BEST when we’re weak! It’s like God’s strength gets to shine the brightest when we feel the weakest. That’s why Paul could say “when I am weak, then I am strong.”
Instead of being embarrassed about our weaknesses, Paul says to “boast gladly about weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.” When we admit we’re not perfect and need help, that’s exactly when God’s amazing power gets to show up and do incredible things through us! Our weaknesses become the perfect place for God’s strength to shine!
God's Power in My Weakness Jar:
Take a clear mason jar and place a small battery-operated tea light inside. Write your weaknesses or struggles on small pieces of paper (like “I get scared,” “I’m not good at speaking,” “I feel left out”) and put them in the jar. Cover the jar with colorful tissue paper so the light glows through beautifully. When you turn on the light, watch how God’s power (the light) shines brightest through your weaknesses (the papers)! Every time you see your glowing jar, remember that God’s power is made perfect in your weakness!
Time For A Prayer:
Dear God, thank You that Your grace is sufficient for us and Your power is made perfect in our weakness! Help us not be ashamed of our weak spots, but remember that's where Your strength shines brightest. When we feel weak or struggle with something, remind us that You love to show Your power through our weakness. Thank You for making us strong when we are weak! Amen.
