Freedom from Fear: God Answers When We Call
Welcome, Faith Force Fear Conquerors! Today, we’re learning about how God rescues us from our fears when we pray, as taught in Psalm 34:4.
Verse Of The Day:
"I sought the LORD, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears." (Psalm 34:4)
Have you ever been so scared that your heart beats fast and you don’t know what to do? In Psalm 34:4, David tells us about a wonderful discovery he made: when we seek God in our scary times, He answers us and frees us from our fears!
David wrote this psalm after escaping from a dangerous situation. He wasn’t just a little worried—he was terrified! But he did something important: he “sought the LORD.” That means he turned to God in prayer, asking for help. And what happened? God answered him and delivered him from ALL his fears!
This verse doesn’t say God might answer or that He removes some fears—it says He answered and delivered David from ALL his fears. What an amazing promise for us too! When fear tries to take over our hearts, we can call out to God and He will help us be brave.
Fear Buster Prayer Jar:
Decorate a jar with bright colors and the words “God Delivers Me From Fear!” Write down specific fears on small slips of paper. Fold them and place them in the jar. Whenever you add a fear, pray about it, thanking God for hearing you and delivering you from that fear!
Time For A Prayer:
Dear God, thank You for listening when we call to You in our scary times. Just like You delivered David from all his fears, please deliver us from the things that make us afraid. Help us remember to seek You first whenever fear comes. Thank You for always hearing our prayers. Amen.
