Reconciled to God: Sharing His Peace with Others
Verse Of The Day:
"All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation." (2 Corinthians 5:18-19)
Imagine two friends who had an argument but finally come together again, smiling and shaking hands. That’s what reconciliation means—restoring a broken relationship. 2 Corinthians 5:18-19 teaches us that God, through Jesus, brought us back into a loving relationship with Him, wiping away our sins and calling us to do the same with others.
God doesn’t hold our mistakes against us. Instead, He welcomes us back with love, offering forgiveness and peace. And because we have received this gift, we are now called to be peacemakers—helping others find God’s love and living in harmony with those around us.
Let’s practice reconciliation in our daily lives by saying sorry when needed, forgiving others, and showing kindness, just as God has done for us. When we live as peace builders, we reflect God’s love in the world!
Bridge of Reconciliation Craft:
Create a bridge-shaped craft with “Reconciled Through Christ” written on a single-line banner across the top. On one side of the bridge, write “God,” and on the other, write “Us.” Decorate the bridge with words like “Forgiveness,” “Love,” and “Peace” to remind yourself that Jesus brought us back to God.
Time For A Prayer:
Dear God, thank You for reconciling us to Yourself through Jesus. Help us to live as peacemakers, forgiving others and sharing Your love with the world. Teach us to be kind and to restore broken relationships, just as You have restored ours. Amen.
