Making Peace: Forgiving Before Worshiping God
Verse Of The Day:
"Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother or sister has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to them; then come and offer your gift." (Matthew 5:23-24)

Imagine bringing a gift to a friend, but realizing you’ve had an argument with them. Wouldn’t it be better to make peace first? That’s what Jesus teaches us in Matthew 5:23-24—before we come to God in worship, we should make sure our hearts are free from anger or conflict with others.
God values peace and reconciliation. When we hold onto hurt feelings or stay angry with someone, it can block our relationship with Him. Making things right with others—whether by saying sorry, forgiving, or showing kindness—helps us come before God with a pure and joyful heart.
Let’s practice being peacemakers, making things right with others before coming to God in prayer and worship. When we choose forgiveness and reconciliation, we reflect His love and bring peace into our hearts and relationships.
Peace Bridge Craft:
Create a bridge craft with “Make Peace First” written on a single-line banner at the top. On one side, write “Anger” and “Hurt,” and on the other, write “Forgiveness” and “Love.” Decorate the bridge with bright colors as a reminder to reconcile with others before coming to God.
Time For A Prayer:
Dear God, thank You for teaching us the importance of making peace with others. Help us to forgive, apologize, and show kindness before coming to You in worship. Teach us to be peacemakers in our families and friendships. Amen.
Keep making peace, Faith Force Peacemakers! Until our next Divine Dispatch, remember that God values reconciliation. Let’s mend broken relationships and come to Him with joyful hearts!
