Light Over Darkness: Shining with God’s Truth
Verse Of The Day:
"The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it." (John 1:5)
Imagine a small candle lighting up a dark room. No matter how big the darkness seems, it can never put out the light! That’s what John 1:5 teaches us—God’s light, through Jesus, shines so brightly that no darkness can overcome it.
Jesus is the light of the world, bringing hope, truth, and love into places that feel dark or hopeless. When we trust Him, His light shines in our hearts, guiding us through tough times and helping us share His love with others. Darkness can never win because God’s light is always stronger!
Let’s be light keepers, carrying God’s light in our words and actions. Every act of kindness, every truth we share, and every moment of love is like a bright light that helps others see God’s glory.
Candle of Hope Craft:
Create a “Candle of Hope” craft at home! Use paper or cardboard to draw or cut out a candle shape. Write “God’s Light Shines” on the flame. Decorate the candle with words like “Hope,” “Truth,” and “Love.” Add bright colors and simple designs to remind yourself that God’s light always overcomes darkness. This craft helps kids understand how Jesus’ light brings hope and shines through them.
Time For A Prayer:
Dear God, thank You for sending Jesus, the light of the world, to shine in the darkness. Help us to carry Your light in our hearts and share it with others through kindness, truth, and love. Teach us to trust in Your light, knowing that it will always overcome the darkness. Amen.
