Joseph, the eleventh son of Jacob and the firstborn of his beloved wife Rachel, was favored by his father, who gave him a coat of many colors. This favoritism incited jealousy among his brothers, leading them to sell him into slavery in Egypt. Despite his misfortunes, including wrongful imprisonment, Joseph’s ability to interpret dreams and his steadfast faith in God eventually led him to rise to prominence. He became the second-in-command in Egypt, overseeing the nation’s response to a severe famine and ultimately reuniting with his family, providing them with refuge and sustenance.
