"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work." (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
Imagine having a treasure map that leads you to something amazing. That’s what the Bible is—it’s like a treasure map from God, filled with wisdom, truth, and instructions on how to live a life that honors Him. In 2 Timothy 3:16-17, we learn that all Scripture is God-breathed, meaning it comes directly from God and is full of His truth. The Bible teaches us what’s right, corrects us when we make mistakes, and helps us grow in righteousness.
God’s Word is a powerful tool that guides us in every part of our lives. It helps us understand how to make good choices, how to treat others with love, and how to live in a way that pleases God. But the Bible doesn’t just tell us what to do—it equips us for every good work, meaning it gives us the strength and knowledge to do the things God has called us to do.
Reading the Bible is like receiving training from God. The more we read and follow His Word, the stronger we become in our faith. It’s a book filled with everything we need to live a life full of purpose, love, and joy, knowing that God’s Word is our guide.
Bible Treasure Hunt:
Create a “Bible Treasure Hunt” at home! Hide small “treasures” (like stickers, small toys, or treats) around your house, and write clues on slips of paper using Bible verses or helpful hints from Scripture. Each clue should lead the children to the next treasure, with the final clue reminding them that the greatest treasure is God’s Word. This activity helps kids understand that the Bible is full of valuable lessons, wisdom, and truths that guide us in life.

Dear God, thank You for giving us Your Word, the Bible, to guide us and teach us. Help us to read it with open hearts, learning from its wisdom and following its truth. Equip us to do good works and live lives that honor You. May Your Word be a light to our path and a treasure in our hearts. Amen.
